Domus project, Daniel, Hilary, Os and Belinda

This shows the slab floor and the form work for the walls.

We are looking at the WA site and thinking of using rammed earth construction. There are many advantages with this method of construction including high thermal mass, good sound proof qualities, it is strong and durable, resistant to fire and vermin and it also has a low embodied energy.

This photo shows the eath being rammed. The form work will be moved up the wall as the wall progresses.
